"Israeli ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon."

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that Israel has launched a ground operation targeting specific sites in southern Lebanon, which they describe as threats to Israeli communities.

"Israel has launched a ground operation."

Prior to the attacks, the Israeli military instructed local residents to evacuate from three areas in Beirut.

Hezbollah's deputy commander, Naim Qassem, stated that they are prepared for Israel's ground operation, suggesting that this conflict could be "long-term." This was his first comment following the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

According to Lebanese officials, at least a thousand people have died in the past two weeks, and more than a million may be displaced from their homes.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told troops near the border that Israel is prepared to strike from "air, sea, and land."

Both U.S. President Joe Biden and U.K. Foreign Secretary David Lammy have emphasized the need for a ceasefire, while also asserting that Israel has the right to defend itself.

"Attack on refugee camp."

A Palestinian official has stated that Israel has carried out a military attack on Ain al-Hilweh, the largest refugee camp in Lebanon.

Both AFP and Reuters, citing local officials, reported that the target of the attack was the military wing of the Palestinian group Fatah.

"Airstrike in Damascus."

As the Israeli military confirmed reports of a ground operation in southern Lebanon, there were reports of three individuals being killed in an Israeli airstrike from neighboring Syria.

Syrian state TV expressed condolences in a statement, announcing that "anchor Safa Ahmad was killed in the Israeli aggression in the capital, Damascus."

Israel has yet to confirm the reports of this airstrike."A house in Beirut damaged by an Israeli airstrike."

"Another dangerous moment in the Middle East."

While the conflict is described as "limited" and specific, there is no guarantee that it will remain that straightforward.

After more than a week of extensive Israeli airstrikes, it's difficult to assess how much of Hezbollah's military infrastructure remains intact.

If they still have sufficient ammunition, there is a possibility that they could launch attacks towards cities within Israel.

Similar to the Houthis in Yemen or military groups in Syria and Iraq, other Iran-backed forces in the region could also target Israeli positions or U.S. military installations nearby.

Iran may also take steps to conduct another attack, similar to what occurred last April. All of this is possible, but some may not happen.

However, it marks yet another perilous moment for the region.
